Lending Rules
Lending rules for student members
  1. Book(s) and other materials will be issued to the students and Research Scholar against the PHOTO ID card

  2. Reference books and the current volume of journals and periodicals will be available only as Reading room Material and daily issue book must be returned that day.

  3. The Library Lending counter will be open only on working –days during the “Lending Hours” as per notification. Students are advised to follow this for effective use of the lending facilities.

  4. Number of books to be issued at a time to a student will be decided by the Library Committee. This will be notified to the student by the library.

  5. Books will be issued for a period of 7 days.

  6. A book can be reissued for a second time if it is not in demand.

  7. Books must be returned within due date. If the due date falls on a non-working day then the book(s) must be returned in the next working day.

  8. If the books are not returned within due date, the defaulting students will have to pay a fine of Rs. 5.00 per day for each book. The Fine will be paid to the Finance Section on the basis of the slip given to the student from the library.

  9. Any loss or damage to a book lent out to a student, shall be made good by the student concerned.

  10. The student shall be personally responsible for checking if the books being issued against his/her library card are correct and are in proper condition before leaving the library’s lending counter.

  11. In the event of a computer system malfunction or breakdown, lending facilities may not be available until the computing facilities are resumed.

Lending rules for faculty & staff members
  1. Book(s) and other materials will be issued against the PHOTO ID card issued to the members.

  2. Reference books and the current volume of journals and periodicals will be available only as Reading room Material and daily issue book must be returned that day.

  4. Faculty member can issue 10 books at a time.

  5. Staff member can issue 5 books at a time.

  6. Books will be issued to the faculty members for the entire semester. All book must be returned to the library at the end of each semester.

  7. Books will be issued to other staff members for a period of per semester.

  8. Book will not be issued to any visiting faculty.
